Wonderful White Wednesday

It's A Wonderful White Wednesday!

Today I am  sharing some of my latest white projects with you today.

I love making Memory Pillows.  Pillow is  made with two ruffles on outer edges only.  Edges are frayed.  The doily that was picked up at a flea market and I added buttons for details.  The upper corner is decorated with scraps of fabric tied into a bow, bits of lace with lace rolled rose and bling center. Inside the pocket, I have tucked my favorite vintage picture of my Great Grandmother Bessie. and a graphic image from The Graphic Fairy.  I didn't know my Dad's grandmother, but I often what she would think about becoming part of my branding logo and in so many of my projects.  What special items would you put in your Memory Pillow?

Large White Angel Wings have been cut from vintage ceiling tile.  The wings are so pretty hanging on a wall or sitting on a shelf.  Lots of versatile ways to display to add the perfect compliment to your shabby chic décor.

The frame was repurposed from a broken clock picture.  I replaced the broken glass and picture with chicken wire.  This makes the perfect memo holder with the clothespins that have been painted pink with some fluff and buttons.  Chicken wire also makes great bow holders for your little ones or use as a jewelry holder for yourself.  Possibilities are endless!

Flowers is the upper corner is a Vintage Shabby Chic Inspired Headband.  Includes 3 roses made from lace with a bling center on a torn and tattered doily with pink crinkle ribbon and string loops of pink seed beads.

Dimensional wings are also made from vintage ceiling tile.

Altered Books

 Book Makeovers

Marvelous Monday to you!  Hope that you had a great weekend.  We had a marathon work day on Saturday and then on Sunday, my Mr. Prince Charming, had to go back to work, so that left me rambling around on my own.  I have two shows coming up back to back, in just a few weeks.  YIKES!   Saturday, we spent most of the time cleaning and getting project ready to work on. Dust was flying from the sander and as usual I ended up with as much paint on me as my projects.   So I have several larger pieces now ready to begin repurposing.

Sunday I started working on a few of the books that I had torn off covers from and had them stained and ready to add the "charm".  I had found the perfect graphics from The Graphics Fairy that I wanted to use.  I printed them out and did a little bit of distressing and added to the cover before adding lace, flowers, tags, charms and torn tattered doilies.  I love the way they turned out.  They will be making their way to my website and booth space this week.

I will be linking up at Brag Monday with The Graphic Fairy.  Until next time!

Stay Charmed,
Shelley

Spring Is Here

Happy Spring!

Spring is here, or so I think, it has been playing a lot of hidding go seek over the last weeks.  We get a few warm days, then back to cold and then it warms back up.  This week we received much needed rain, but I am so ready for warm weather to come and stay!  Ready for trips to the lake, planting flowers and my flip flops.

The birds are singing today and I noticed that the little bird that chooses to build her nest every year on the ceiling fan of my porch is back in her home.  I have no idea what kind of bird she is, but she keeps coming back home!  So in her honor, I have made a cute little bird nest in an old vintage coin purse to share with you.

This bird also loves Vintage Charm, she has worked hard to build her home in the vintage coin purse, with her vintage scraps of lace, sprigs of flowers (for a special pink touch), and the rolled sheet music.

Hope that everyone has a blessed and charming week ahead.

Stay Charmed!

Envelope Pocket

Dixie and Richard

Hi!  I thought I would share with you a very simple envelope made from a vintage napkin. The pocket envelope was inspired by a very dear friend, Gypsy Rose.  She somehow manages to keep me on track.  Thank you Gypsy Rose!
