The Sheriff Snowman

Frosty The Sheriff
After a very long summer of campaigning activities, my brother was elected Sheriff for our county in November.  I thought I would make one of my Cowboy Snowmen into a Sheriff for his Christmas gift.  I think it turned out pretty cute!

Western Door

The Cowboy
We have been doing several doors lately, they are wonderful in an entry way to hang hats, coats and catch it all.  This one is a tribute to The Cowboy.  We used old rusty saddle horns for the hangers.  I also made tile coasters of a bronc rider embossed in brown.  Even the snowman is a cowboy.   Hope you enjoy this tribute to The Cowboy.  It is kind of out of the norm from my normal lace and frills, but I do have Cowboys in my life and couldn't live without them and they are great enough to put up with all my frills and lace.

Playing Catchup

I have been sooooo busy lately and I have been a terrible slacker on blog posts.  I am on my hands and knees begging forgiveness to my followers and the ones that check in on it on a regular basis.  I was shocked to see that people were actually still looking at my blog, even though I have not made a post since October.  (I am hiding my head in shame)

I have been going to several craft shows trying to get out there to make contacts and meeting lots of new customers and friends.   Yesterday, I participated in my last craft show of the year.  Sad they are over, but ready for a reprieve and concentrate on the upcoming New Year and and getting ready to celebrate Christmas with my family. Today I thought I would sit down and share a few photos of some to the things that I have been doing.

I have been making Ruffle Angel wings and Little Elf Shoes. I must admit that I have become some addicted to making the elf shoes they are so much fun.

I made these last year but have been making more of the Grubby Reindeer Ornies and this year I decided to try the coasters in silver this year instead of the gold.  I really like the way the silver turned out.

I have inventory at The Mix in Ada, Oklahoma and I have recently swapped spaces and this is some of the photos taken of my new space.

I participated in Pink Friday in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.  Miranda Lambert held her grand opening of The Pink Pistol on Black Friday and she declared it Pink Friday in Tishomingo.  You know how I loooovvvvveeee Pink!!!  I had a booth rented in Creative Country for this event.  Found out 2 days before the event.  So needless to say I was doing some CRACK-A-LACKIN to get this pulled off.  Made it and all went well and I made lots of new contacts and enjoyed meeting many new friends.

In a nutshell this is what I have been doing over the last few months.   Thanks for staying with me during my blogging absence.

Princess in Training

Hi Everyone,

Hope that everyone is doing well and planning to have a wonderful Holiday weekend.   I will be busy getting my "Charm" on, preparing for the Amish Auction on September 8th.

I wanted to pop in and share with you this cute glass block.    It would be  really cute in a little girls room to use as a night light or just for decorations.   The picture really doesn't do it justice, it is soooo.... cute!  Love the sparkle of the tiara and wand nestled among the feathers of the boa.

I will be linking up with Pink Saturday at How Sweet the Sound.  Drop by for a visit and get inspired with all the Pink listings.

Easter Decorations

Hi Everyone,
I thought I would share some of my favorite Easter decorations for this year.  I have only put out a few items this Easter.  The Easter Bunny on my mantle is one of my favorites and come out every Easter.  My mom made this crocheted bunny that is busy painting eggs for me quiet a few years ago.  I have probably had him for about 20 years or maybe more (time sure does fly).  I placed plastic eggs in my covered cake plate for my table decoration.  Really simple but it gives a burst of color.  Then I have the Bunny Glass Block on my piano and  have some grass and eggs surrounding him.  I didn't post a picture of this because I have listed the block in an early post.
Have a great day!

Bunny Block

Hi Everyone!
I hope that you all had a great day.  We woke up to snow this morning, but I have been dreaming of spring.  I thought I would share my Bunny Block with you.  I have had his little image in my mind for a while now and finally found the time to make him.  He is wearing a shabby top hat all decked out for Easter.

Lighted Glass Block Snowman

Hi Everyone,

Remember all the glass blocks that were scattered all over my dining room table?  Well here is one of the finished products.  A snowman  or should say snowperson, to be politically correct since she is all decked out in pink.  She turned out really cute!!! She is three glass blocks tall making her around 24 inches and that is not including to the top of her hat.  Glass blocks are also heavy!!!

Haven't offered this up for sale, as of yet, because I am not really sure about how to go about shipping her.  I am thinking of participating in a local craft show and will sell some locally.  I know it is possible to ship it, but just not really that shipping savvy.  If anyone has suggestions and shipping tips, I would love to hear them.

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Hi Everyone,
You can always tell that Christmas is just around the corner when my house is filled with glass blocks. This year is no exception my dining room table is now loaded down with blocks. My wonderful husband drilled all the holes for me this weekend.

Stay tuned to see what the glass blocks turn out to be.

Scarecrow

Hi Everyone,
I would like to introduce you to Mr. Scarecrow.  He is my latest item going in my Etsy shop, http://shellsvintagecharm.etsy.com .  Be sure to go on over and visit with him.  He is sure to light up your world with his happy, glowing face. He is made out of a glass block and is wearing his straw hat adorned with a sunflower and wearing his favorite bandanna.  My photography skills really do not do him justice, he is so much cuter in person.
Blessings,
Shelley
