Embers

Embers of my Heart Hart

What's a girl to do on a snowy, sleety, wintery day?  Well... I know what I should be doing, the usual things that I am way far behind on like laundry, sweeping, dishes, and working on gathering all my tax receipts.  Of course who wants to work on that kind of stuff on a cold blustery day when you could be snuggling under a warm, fuzzy blanket catching up with all of my blog friends, it has been way to long.  There has been a lot going on at Shell's Vintage Charm, that I want to share with you all.

I have expanded in several areas and have been staying busy.  As you know, I have gotten my own domain at http://shellsvintagecharm.com where you can purchase my handmade designs online, as well as keeping my Etsy shop open.  I recently also joined Shabby Cottage Shops, a great online shopping mall.  I also belong to Etsy Cottage Style, it is a great community of artists who love cottage style.   I still have my booth space at Tish Creative Country and I have added several new shows that I will be attending as a vendor starting in March.

My most exciting news is I am getting a new grandbaby in April!  It's a girl!!!
I am getting excited and can hardly wait to get my hands on her!  My grandbabies are my greatest joy and blessings.  Rachel and Blaydon bring so much sunshine into this grammy's heart that with the third one I am sure that I will be blessed beyond belief!!!

During all this wonderful excitement and while waiting on my new ray of sunshine, I have decided to launch a new design line, Embers of my Hart, shabby chic designs for babies and children. I am introducing three of the first products to you today. They also make great Valentine gifts, as well.

Vintage Chenille Heart

Vintage Chenille Pillow Hanger

Emberlynn Design Head Band

Now to explain the meaning and the inspiration behind the name of my new design line.  My daughter, Paisley is planning on naming the baby, Emberlynn Grace.  She was tinkering (yes, I am a Okie) around with the thought of naming the baby after my grandmother, Jewel Hart.  One afternoon while searching through the book of baby names.  She happened across the name, Emberlynn which means, precious pretty jewel.  So long story short... with Emberlynn being the inspiration of my making much more shabby chic baby items and all of my grandchildren being the embers of my heart, I have decided upon the Embers of my Heart Hart.  I am still trying to decide if I want to use the spelling for Hart as my Grandmother's name or if I should spell it correctly so everyone won't think that I can't spell correctly.  (which I do happen to be a pretty bad at spelling).

I am really wanting to use Hart because of it being my grandmother's name and my mother's maiden name.  I started Shell's Vintage Charm with the image of my dad's grandmother (you can see more of the story behind this here, if interested).  My friends joke with me about selling my own grandmother, but I try to use as many of the vintage photo images of my own family members, whenever possible.  I love being able to use part of my heritage into my Vintage Charm business.

Princess in Training

Hi Everyone,

Hope that everyone is doing well and planning to have a wonderful Holiday weekend.   I will be busy getting my "Charm" on, preparing for the Amish Auction on September 8th.

I wanted to pop in and share with you this cute glass block.    It would be  really cute in a little girls room to use as a night light or just for decorations.   The picture really doesn't do it justice, it is soooo.... cute!  Love the sparkle of the tiara and wand nestled among the feathers of the boa.

I will be linking up with Pink Saturday at How Sweet the Sound.  Drop by for a visit and get inspired with all the Pink listings.

Rock N Roll Onesie

ROCK n ROLL BaBy

Hi Everybody,

Hope you are having a great week, luckily Friday is  just around the corner. I thought I would pop in and share a custom order that I made this week.  This customer was wanting one of my onesies, but wanted it with a little bit of Rock n Roll.  Hopefully, I pulled it off.  Love the trim that I found from Paper Mart.  It has that metal look but is soft and flexible for little ones.  Of course, it was hard for a pink lover to do a black and silver onesie, but I love the way that it turned out.

I will be making more in a few more colors.  At the moment I am taking custom orders on this style of onesie.  So feel free to contact me if you are interested.

Stay "Charmed",

Shelley

Shabby Chic Hot Pink Bustle Tutu Flower

I made this bustle tutu as a custom order and love how it turned out with its shabby chic flower.  Of course any shade of pink works for me.  I did get a little bit carried away with adding of the tulle.  It has about 25 feet of tulle in the buste and  then I put the whitle lace throught out the layers.

The front is just decorated to look like they are wearing a strand of pearls.  What little Princess doesn't wear her pearls?

A close up of the Shabby Chic flower.  I left all the edges frayes.   Really, really love this flower and it is so simple to make.  I bought the tutorial off of Etsy from M.E.H. Art Gallary.   Can't wait to make more of them!!!

This post will be linked to Pink Saturday.    Go check out all the lovely pink posts on the blogs.

Stay Charmed,

Shelley

White Glory Ruffle Bottom Onesie

I hope everyone is having a great week!  My week has started out busy and as usual flying by in a whirl wind.

Today I am sharing with you a sweet little all white onesie that I made.   It looks so sweet and delicate in all its white ruffles on the bottom.  Those of you that know me, are probably wondering where is my touch of pink?  There is none, it is completely white.   Love it and will be designing more in "all" white.

I will be doing a new give away soon!!!  Make sure that you are a follower, so you miss out.

I am linking up for White Wednesday today over at Faded Charm.

Stay "Charmed",
Shelley

Aqua Doily Bustle Onesie

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to share my newest listing on Etsy.   A shabby chic bustle made out of a vintage doily.  The onesie and doily have been tea stained.  It is displayed on my new manni that I made from a purchased tutorial on Etsy.
Have a great week!

Vintage Baby Shoe with Tear Bear

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to share my newest repurposed Vintage Baby Shoe with you.  It combines two of my favorite things, vintage baby shoes and tear bears.  I love the little bear peeking out of the roses.  The bear can be removed or placed in other spots as needed.  This shoe is loaded with roses that are tipped in pink.  Lots of lace, pearls and crumpled ribbon.  I have added two charms that can easily be removed with a pearl pin that to add your own picture.

Bustle TuTu Onesie

Longsleeve Bustle TuTu with lots of pink tulle.   Turned out really cute, it is all business in the front and party in the back.  I also made a matching pair of leg warmers.
