Yard Sale Treasures

Hi Everyone!  Hope your week has gotten off to a wonderful start and you had a very Happy Mother's Day.  I have been busy getting ready for the Magnolia Festival and have been  BUSY!!!  I have even had my husband helping me out this weekend.

I thought I would share my new found treasures.  I went to a fantastic yard sale during my lunch break the other day and then decided that I had to go back during break for more.   Candlesticks,  buckets, tables and suitcases just waiting for a touch of "Vintage Charm."

The first items to be "Vintage Charmed" was the green table and the tall candlestick in the back.  I painted both of them white and then distressed it for a shabby chic look.

The table received some extra attention. I used my one of my favorite graphics from The Graphics Fairy blog and enlarged it using Block Posters. Then using my new favorite technique... I printed it out on wax paper and then took a credit card and transfered it to the table top off center. Then lightly went over it again with some sand paper for a time worn look.  (You can find some great transfer techniques here from the Graphics Fairy. )

Linking up with Brag Monday at The Graphics Fairy and White Wednesday at Faded Charm.  Go take a look at all the wonderful projects.

Stay "Charmed",

Repurposed Cabinet Door- French Inspired

Do you every have projects that just will not come together?  You can see it in your mind but it just does not turn out the way you are seeing it in your mind.  So FRUSTRATING!!! I began working on repurposing this old cabinet door a couple of weeks ago. I had found the prefect graphic that I was going to use from The Graphics Fairy, knew that I wanted to use the Beach Sparkle and White paint and that it had to be distressed.  I also was seeing lace and flowers there, too.  So I begin.   Long story short it looked horrible.  So I sent out an SOS to everyone who would listen to me whine and offer me advise.  (Thanks to my wonderful advisers out there).  I started trying different things that were suggested, still not liking it.  Finally just now I have decided that it is finished and maybe I am trying to put way to much thought into it.  Not everything have to be covered in lace and loaded in fufu.  (Okay, now the ones that know me well are wondering if I have fallen and bumped my head.  That is totally a statement I would not make!)  So here it is......finally finished (maybe).

I am linking up at Brag Monday at The Graphics Fairy.  Be sure to visit The Graphics Fairy site you will love all the wonderful graphics ther!!!

Lace and Burlap

A Touch of Class goes Country

I love the tea stained lace and the pearls on the burlap.  The lace is definately the "Chic" on these Shabby Chic placemats.  I will be placing this set on my Etsy Shop.

Stay Charmed,
