A Shabby Chic Horse

Today, I am sharing with you a treasure, a friend found at a yard sale about a year ago.  A handmade hobby horse.  It was love at first!!! The minute I saw it, I knew that it had to be painted, distressed and she needed a shabtabulous mane and tail. I love the way she turned out.  Not too shabby! ;)
My wonderful Mr. Prince Charming helped me out with the sanding.
Here she is in all of her glory waiting for her new home and special little girl to love.  Paisley, my daughter, thinks that I should keep it.  She is a photographer and I think she is having visions of some great photo opportunities using this as one of her props.

Have a great week and I hope to see you Saturday at the 26th Annual Clarita Amish School Consignment Auction.
Stay Charmed,

  3. Hi Shelley, just wanted to pop by your blog and follow you! What a great idea for the vintage hobby horse! I agree with your daughter, it would be a wonderful prop or piece to use when you attend your shows! I am thrilled you have joined all of the fabulous boutiques at Shabby Cottage Shops, we welcome you to our family of "shabby sisters" and look forward to seeing more unique creations by Mr. Prince Charming!
