Shabby Chic Hot Pink Bustle Tutu Flower

I made this bustle tutu as a custom order and love how it turned out with its shabby chic flower.  Of course any shade of pink works for me.  I did get a little bit carried away with adding of the tulle.  It has about 25 feet of tulle in the buste and  then I put the whitle lace throught out the layers.

The front is just decorated to look like they are wearing a strand of pearls.  What little Princess doesn't wear her pearls?

A close up of the Shabby Chic flower.  I left all the edges frayes.   Really, really love this flower and it is so simple to make.  I bought the tutorial off of Etsy from M.E.H. Art Gallary.   Can't wait to make more of them!!!

This post will be linked to Pink Saturday.    Go check out all the lovely pink posts on the blogs.

Wings of Love

Hi!  Hope everyone had a great weekend.  It was busy as usual for the Prince household. It started out having dinner with my family on Friday night at Velma's Kitchen for some delicious Amish cooking.  Velma's Kitchen is located in Clarita, a small community, near where I live, you can check out the community's website here.  Saturday we started the day off watching Rachel play Soccer in the rain. The afternoon was spent at our dreaded appointment for income taxes.  (Nothing like putting things off till the last minute.)
On Sunday, Frankie and I got out in his "shed" and he started repairing my wobbly cabinet that I rescued a few weeks back. I learned that I could use the electric sander so I worked on sanding down some of the old cabinet doors, so I could get them painted and spruced up. It was really kind of nice getting to work as a team with my awesome husband.

We didn't make it very far on the little cabinet, but I can share the cabinet door we repurposed in a wall hanger.

Stay Charmed,

Shabby Chic Wall Sconce

Wall Sconce before it was "Vintage Charmed."

I bought this brassy looking wall sconce on my last trip to Canton.  Loved the flowers on it and was already thinking they would look great with just a little touch of "Vintage Charm"and paint, of course.

Sooo... with a little bit of cleaning and spray paint and brushing on some pink this is how it was transformed.

Ok, I know what you are thinking why did she hang a wall sconce for candles on her door?  I was looking for a place to take pictures that would show off some of the detailing.  It has been sanded after painting and in some areas left to show black under tone and others I let the brass shine through.  Then after hanging it on the door, all kinds of ideas started flickering through my mind.

It really looked awesome hanging on my white door and I could envision it being used as a wreath holder.  Don't you think it would look cute holding a wreath of lovely flowers?  It hangs perfectly on the wall and would also make a jewelry holder, as well.  It has all kinds of possibilities.  It would also be cute just as it original intention in life as a candle holder with either glass votives or just taper candles.

I am linking up with Pink Saturday, go take a look at all the lovely pink items.

White Glory Ruffle Bottom Onesie

I hope everyone is having a great week!  My week has started out busy and as usual flying by in a whirl wind.

Today I am sharing with you a sweet little all white onesie that I made.   It looks so sweet and delicate in all its white ruffles on the bottom.  Those of you that know me, are probably wondering where is my touch of pink?  There is none, it is completely white.   Love it and will be designing more in "all" white.

I will be doing a new give away soon!!!  Make sure that you are a follower, so you miss out.

I am linking up for White Wednesday today over at Faded Charm.

Stay "Charmed",
Shelley

Chair Makeover

One person's trash is another person's treasure!!!

Yes, I admit it!!! I brought home this chair that was completely falling apart and everyone thought it was ready for the scrap pile. The arms were rotting and broken, basically all that was left of it was the frame.   While out visiting my friends, Angela and Dan, I found this treasure.  Yes, it was a beautiful treasure in my eyes.  They all thought I was crazy, but I rescued my chair and with the help of Frankie, my "ugly" chair was transformed.

Frankie cut and made new arms, back and bottom, while I sanded off what seemed like tons of rust to get it ready for paint.  It was then spray painted  off white.  After that I took some Martha Stewart paint and swiped (with my fingers) gray paint and then wiped and rubbed it off in places to give it the look that I was wanting.  Then came the task of  covering the seat and back.

I am proud of the makeover and couldn't have finished it without the help of Frankie, it was a team effort.   Ok, yes..... I am tooting my own horn, but I love it, love, love, love it!!!!
